Every Vellucio box carries something personal: a photograph and a short video made by the person sending it. We review each one before it is delivered. These are the rules that review applies.
What you are confirming
When you add a gift to your cart, you confirm three things about the photo and video you have uploaded:
- The material is yours to send. You either created it or have permission from whoever did.
- Everyone recognisable in it has agreed to appear in a gift that will be seen by the recipient.
- It contains nothing illegal, and nothing that falls into the list below.
What we will not accept
- Any sexual content, and any content of a sexual nature involving a minor without exception.
- Nudity, including partial nudity.
- Threats, harassment, intimidation, or anything intended to frighten or coerce the recipient.
- Hate speech or material attacking a person or group on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or any comparable characteristic.
- Graphic violence, injury, cruelty to people or animals, or depictions of self-harm.
- Content promoting or facilitating illegal activity.
- Material that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, or other rights — including commercially released music, film, or television.
- Personal information about a third party, such as identity documents, financial details, or private contact information.
- Impersonation of a real person or organisation.
- Advertising, political campaigning, or any commercial message.
How review works
After your order is paid, we watch the video and look at the photo before the box is prepared. Most orders are approved the same day. Until approval, the recipient's page shows a holding message rather than the video, and the video cannot be downloaded.
If we approve, the box is made and the link on the card plays your video from the moment the recipient taps it. If we do not, we delete the file, contact you at the email on your order, and either arrange a replacement or refund the order in full.
How long we keep it
An approved video is stored for three years from the date it was uploaded, so the recipient can return to it. A rejected video is deleted immediately. A video uploaded as part of an order that is never paid for is deleted automatically within about a month.
You may ask us to delete your video at any time by writing to support@vellucio.com from the email address on the order. Once deleted, the link on the card will no longer play.
Who can see it
The link on the card is private and unlisted. It is not indexed by search engines and cannot be guessed. Anyone holding the card, or holding the link, can watch and download the video (so the recipient can share it onward if they choose so). Treat the link the way you would treat the box itself.
Within Vellucio, the video is seen by whoever carries out the review, and by nobody else. We do not use your photo or video in our own marketing, and we do not share it with third parties except the hosting provider that stores it on our behalf.
If something goes wrong
If you believe a video sent to you breaks these rules, or if you appear in one without having agreed to, write to support@vellucio.com and we will take the content down while we look into it.
We may refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, and we may decline future orders from anyone who repeatedly submits material that breaks these rules.
